PTFE dust filter bags—often known in the market as Teflon® filter bags—represent the highest tier of performance in industrial filtration. They are chosen for processes where temperatures, chemistry, or moisture levels exceed the limits of any other filter media. Unlike polyester, PPS, aramid, or even fiberglass, pure PTFE felt maintains its mechanical strength and surface stability even in extremely harsh environments.
PTFE fibres have an exceptionally low surface energy, which makes them naturally non-stick. In real baghouse operation this translates into cleaner bags, lower residual dust on the surface, and far more stable pressure drop during high-load periods. Plants running corrosive flue gas, high humidity, or highly variable operating windows rely on PTFE because it simply does not degrade the way other materials do.
- Temperature window: Continuous operation up to 240 °C, with temperature peaks around 260 °C, even in the presence of moisture, acid fumes, and chemically aggressive gases.
- Media: Pure PTFE needle-punched felt; optional PTFE membrane-laminated felt for ultra-low emissions and faster cleaning cycles.
- Mechanical behaviour: Excellent crease resistance, dimensional stability, and extremely low shrinkage even under long-term high-temperature cycling.
- Gas chemistry: Completely inert to acidic, alkaline, and oxidizing conditions; ideal for moist or chemically unstable gas streams where other felts rapidly degrade.
- Typical use:Waste incinerators | Chemical processing | Carbon black & pigments | Fertilizer | Non-ferrous metals | High-sulfur or high-humidity flue gas | Any process requiring compliance with ultra-low emission standards.
